This issue offers uplifting stories from our preservation centers across Asia—stories of dedication, innovation, and service to the world.
A Historic New Chapter in Mongolia – We’ve launched a major initiative to preserve the Zanabazar Library, one of Mongolia’s most important Buddhist collections. Millions of fragile pages are now being digitized and made accessible to scholars and practitioners around the globe.
20 Years in Varanasi – Our Varanasi Input Center celebrates two decades of impact, with expanded training in Newari scripts and new input projects that honor ancient Sanskrit traditions and empower the next generation of preservationists.
Supporting Our Teams’ Wellbeing – We’re deepening our commitment to the physical and mental health of ALL’s staff. Wellness programs across our centers ensure the people who preserve wisdom are also cared for with wisdom.
Reviving Jewels in Nepal – In the Kathmandu Valley, our partnership with the Nagarjuna Institute has led to the input of rare texts in Bhujimol script by a mostly all-women team. This year our team started inputting two new essential texts: the Prasannapada, of Master Chandrakirti and the Bodhicharyavatara, by Master Shantideva.
With this offering, we invite you to rejoice at being a part of this journey together. You are making a remarkable difference in lives around the world as we achieve our mission of preserving and sharing timeless wisdom.
