The Asian Legacy Library is preserving the literary wisdom traditions of the world for future generations. We do this together through cultural preservation partnerships using digital technology. We believe this is a priority for humankind.
The main obstacle in preservation is that the holders of collections often don’t yet have the technical training, nor the access to technology to do the work. The support we offer is vital to overcoming these obstacles. So we’ve designed an app that allows preservation projects to catalog, digitize and archive their collections.
The app can work offline so collection holders can benefit from technology, even if they don’t have an internet connection,ALL’s app is a beneficial contribution and a critical link in the chain of preservation because right now many projects have a really hard time just functioning.
By developing and sharing this technology we can facilitate a smooth transition for many to preserve and access their own heritage. Projects can easily develop and communities can safeguard and maintain ownership of their wisdom traditions.
This noble cause cultivates and sustains wisdom in our world, for the benefit of current and future generations.
